Dear Editor,

Most students know of either a death or severe injury caused by a hit and run driver. Currently the law doesn't require passengers of offending vehicles to do anything to get assistance to the victims.
So they many just let them die in pain on the side of the road. I am trying to get our elected officials to create "Steven's Law" which would change that. It would make anyone of high school age or older required to do their civic duty of calling 911 to get assistance to the victim. Currently I'm calling for voters to write in "STEVEN BACON" on all state representative and state senate ballots to get a message across.
In many places there are unopposed elections so this might be a win win concept. I have done three youtubes on this subject under Steven's Law. Perhaps as students you might want to lend a hand in making history on such a law.
Perhaps my concept is too extreme. My only aim is to get some laws on the books which would improve the odds of the 18,000 people a year injured in hit and run victims.
