Married and very much in love

A question some people ask themselves
is whether marriage and dating are different.
"It's the same. We love each other, and
nothing changes besides wearing rings,"
said Ines Martin, a 25-year-old Bucks
nanofabrication technology major.
Martin, who is from Germany, married
31-year old Joe Marin III on Sept. 27,
2007.
She fell for Joe's personality, calmness,
artistic ability and the fact that he's laidback.
But the thing about the couple is after
they hung out for the first time on Jan. 5,
2007, they both said they weren't sure
about each other.
"I thought 'I don't know if he's for me.'
He's very nice, but let's see what happens,"
said Martin.
On their first date, she didn't expect him
to pay. Also, she didn't wear makeup.
"I don't like makeup. If I don't wear it,
then why would I [do it for the date]," she
said.
Her host-mom, which is a person who
hosts people from different countries, was
trying to put it on her and she took it off because
she thought she wasn't being herself.
The next element of this story is love.
Ines Martin and Joe were texting and she
wrote to him: I love you. He wrote that he
would rather tell her personally.
So a few days later, he was hugging her
tight and said, "Babe, I love you."
While they were dating, they only got to
see each other a few times a week. That is
a problem between couples sometimes.
There just isn't enough time in the day to
see one another. But it worked out for the
two of them.
Ten minutes after their first date Joe sent
her a text message asking if she would like
to hang out again. After nine months of
hanging out and enjoying each other, the
missing piece of the puzzle came: the proposal.
Joe bought her flowers and asked her to
come into the bedroom where he had set up
a picture frame with the ring in front of it.
She said thank you for the gifts, but didn't
notice the ring.
